West Hill Morris are from Dartford in Kent, and take their name from that of West Hill School, where a parents' side was formed in 1983. As it's now 2003, that make 20 years of West Hill Morris, well worth celebrating!!
To mark this occasion, we are organising a Boat trip on the MV Princess Pocohontas from Gravesend to Whitstable and back, with dancing at Whitstable. This will take place on Sunday 6 July, and your side is cordially invited to join us.
DISCLAIMER - By booking on this Boat Trip you agree that neither the West Hill Morris 'club', nor the Boat Trip organisers, nor any individual member of West Hill Morris can accept ANY responsibility for any personal injury, or loss or damage to property, howsoever caused.  You also agree to abide by any instructions from the Captain of the boat or his delegated crew members.

ITINERY for Sunday 6 July 2003 will be:
There is free parking at Gravesend in the St Georges Shopping Centre on a Sunday.

Please be ready to board by 10.15. As the river is tidal, the boat WILL leave as stated. If you are late, it cannot wait for you and you'll have to find your own way. Same applies on return - 16.30 prompt.

As dancing on the boat is planned, please have your costumes, music, kit etc handy

If you're meeting us in Whitstable after 1400, we will be in/near the Albert, Duke of Cumberland or Pearsons - these are very close together in Sea Street. I'm told there's free parking off Tower Parade.

Drinks and some food will be available on board, at extra cost, but I guess most people will bring a picnic lunch to have at Whitstable, and/or the pubs there. There's an excellent chip shop nearby.

I have heard rumours of nautical entertainments being planned ....

If you're driving home, please go easy on the sauce and ensure you are fit to do so on return.

Cost will be £20 per head for the boat fare, (£12 for under 16, under 5 free). Food/drink on boat extra.

We will need full payment by 1 February 2003 to secure a place.

Please send you cheque, payable to West Hill Morris, with an SAE and names of persons you're booking for, and side, to our Bagman, Greg Snell, at 97 The Grove, West Wickham, Kent, BR4 9LA or email to

Alternatively, you may like to meet/dance with us in Whitstable.  Please let me know in either case.  If you're not sure of numbers, an estimate would be useful, but I cannot guarantee places without the cheques.
