1st January 2001 - at The Black Lion, Southfleet

Here's some photos from the New Year's Day celebration at the Black Lion, Southfleet, where we were the guests of Frogs, and had the pleasure of meeting and dancing with other sides including St Clement's Cloggs and Mottley Morris.

Here we see Bold St George, who, having remembered the lines on the back of his shield, is battling with the Fearsome Turk,

and the Good Doctor from Americy, restoring the wounded Turk to rude health with Opolis Popolis drops (and a sharp prod of the sword ...), encouraged by the assembled Morris Dancers

All this activity was followed by lunch, Music and Song within the Black Lion, the weather having turned too chilly to do anything else!!
